Add Sanctuary to OpenStreetView
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Firestone Sanctuary is currently on Google Maps but not OpenStreetView, but the ethos is to prioritise open source and collaborative open data, so adding Firestone Sanctuary to OpenStreetView is a priority!

Please add it to OpenStreetView in the same location as it is for Google Maps!

I initially looked at using https://www.onosm.org/ but it's a very simple interface and then there is no account attached to it (uploaded anonymously as a note).

Instead, I created an account at https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Timotheos%20Firestone/ and uploaded initial changes to OpenStreetMap as visible in this changeset: https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/98149701 which should be visible online shortly.

This should be sufficient for people to initially find the Sanctuary, but, because OpenSteetMap allows sub-items to be attached to an overall place, further work can be made to add in other places of interest within the Sanctuary (such as composting toilet block, outdoor shower, Festival Flat, Lemon Hill, and other locations that might be useful for visitors to know).

I have confirmed that a search for Firestone Sanctuary results in this node being found: https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/8362934855 :)
