Get power set-up for welder
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Being able to use corded power tools and the welder, on-site in the Tiny Village, away from The Cottage, would be extremely useful. The easiest option is to run a power cord from the house, hopefully that works.

Otherwise, some sort of more environmentally rechargeable solar battery solution could be found, but the options will need to be investigated. A fuel-powered generator might also be possible, but less environmentally friendly.

Extension cables are running from the Cottage to the lower shed (at least, the metal twin boxes, for now, which is very close).

I had left this task open because I hadn't actually tested running the welder off the extension cables that go to the lower shed. I still haven't actually tested that, but I have tested running a microwave and power tool battery charger off that connection, so I think it's most likely fine.

We can re-open this task if the welder does not run off that connection.
